Saving Private Hillary? Spielberg Backs HRC

2 comments June 14th, 2007

Film producer and director Steven Spielberg, creator of such cinema hits as “Saving Private Ryan” and “Jurassic Park, “is now directing his creative karma towards Hillary Clinton’s presidential ambitions. In a major turning point in the battle with Barack Obama over endorsements from the Hollywood community, Spielberg has finally decided to endorse Hillary Clinton for president.

In the celebrity politics that now reigns, the Clintons hope you will be impressed by Spielberg’s annointing of Hillary, and will not “waste” your time actually critically reviewing her record and core competencies. The Clinton people want you to treat a celebrity endorsement of a politician the same way you probably would if he or she were endorsing a soap product, or newly designed automobile.

So what makes Mr. Spielberg so qualified as to urge you to vote for Hillary Rodham Clinton, which is presumably the purpose of his endorsement? Other than making movies, does this film producer have any special knowledge of global economics, geopolitical architecture, international relations, global threat assessments or managing a government? No, not really. But he does build one mean fake dinosaur. Yes, I guess that’s a great reason to vote in a second Clinton presidential administration. And you wonder why the nation is in trouble?

Chicago Tribune Published Letter From “Hillary Clinton Nude” Author!

In response to an earlier article that critically portrayed anti-Hillary books and lumped my own book with the others, I wrote a letter defending “Hillary Clinton Nude,” which was published on June 10, 2007 in the Sunday Perspective section of the Chicago Tribune. I commend the Chicago Tribune for granting me the opportunity to relay my views to its readers.

I felt it was important to set the record straight regarding “Hillary Clinton Nude: Naked Ambition, Hillary Clinton And America’s Demise.” I can well understand that Hillary Clinton and her presidential campaign infrastructure would wish to portray any book that questions her suitability for presidential leadership as either a “right-wing hatchet job” or rehashing of old news. Others have followed this path. However, given what is at stake for America, it falls upon all our shoulders to weigh carefully entrusting the nation’s destiny to a second Clinton presidency, while still enduring the tribulations of a second Bush presidency.

As I point out in my response to the Chicago Tribune, “Hillary Clinton Nude” presents a case against a second Clinton presidency which, while passionate, is also thoughtful And being thoughtful is essential if the nation is to avoid picking the wrong commander-in-chief come Novemeber 2008.

Hillary’s Growing List Of Endorsements

2 comments June 6th, 2007

This blog has pointed out that while the media is obsessed with Obama-mania and his fundraising, Hillary has been quietly accumulating a vast superiority in political endorsements from key Democrats accross the country. This translates into a significant political dominance that Hillary Clinton is constructing, which will pay dividends for her once the primaries begin in earnest.

The most recent endorsement of Hillary rule is freshman Senator Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island. Has a catchy ring to it, “Hillary Clinton endorsed by Whitehouse.” More importantly, it shows that aspiring Democratic political figures are casting their bets with Hillaryland and not Obama. They know something that the media pundits seem to have forgotten; politics is about connections and relationships; the money then follows.

As the endorsements pile up, Hillary Clinton is now sharpening her campaign infrastructure on the ground. Most polls have her well ahead of her rivals nationally, but lagging in Iowa. Hillary Clinton is now working on rectifying that campaign anomally by making recent top-level staff changes within her Iowa organization. I expect in coming weeks that we will begin to see Hillary Clinton gaining in strength in Iowa.

All seems to be going as planned for the coming restoration of the Clinton co-presidency. Stay tuned.

Does Hillary Clinton Act Presidential?

2 comments June 5th, 2007

The answer to the above question,to paraphrase Bill Clinton, all depends on what you mean by the word “act.” In the wake of the New Hampshire Democratic presidential candidates debate, the spin being spun by Hillaryland is that Hillary Rodham Clinton “acted presidential,” that somehow she was above the fray.

In a presidential contest largely determined by image, Hillary Clinton perhaps meets that definition. But then, there are others who may be far more qualified, based on this Clintonian rationale. For example, retired Republican Senator Fred Thompson will probably enter the presidential race this summer. He currently works as a professional actor, and has even played the role of a president dealing with a nuclear crisis in the film, “Last Best Chance.” So, if Hillary Clinton maintains we should choose the president who best “acts presidential,” Fred Thompson’s credentials are far more impressive than those of Hillary Clinton.

Ah, but she didn’t really mean acting, she meant substance, so you pro-Hillary people now say. Alright, but wait a minute. If we go by substance, Hillary Clinton lacks even a fraction of the tested experience in the areas of foreign policy, economic management and geopolitical strategy that many of her rivals possess. Hillary has more foreign policy depth than Joe Biden, who chairs the foreigh relations committee? Come on, get serious.

Well, let’s cross off substance and acting. So, what’s left? The same surname as a recent president? Yes, that worked well for George W. Bush, so that must be the best way to pick a president. Based on how well that formula has benefited America, Hillary Clinton no doubt deserves to win by a landslide.Just hope the country isn’t buried in the process.

Al Gore Versus Hillary Clinton?

1 comment June 3rd, 2007

First there was that “inconvenient” movie, and now it’s the inconvenient book tour. Inconveneient, that is, for Hillary Clinton. So, all this media speculation on Al Gore getting into the 2008 race, how real is it?

To begin with, I think Al Gore believes that Bill Clinton’s behavior as president cost him the presidency in 2000 to George W. Bush. Not without good reason, as I explain in my book, “Hillary Clinton Nude: Naked Ambition, Hillary Clinton And America’s Demise.” Some say that Gore is really enjoying his “re-invented” life, however, I suspect that he would have enjoyed it more as president.

My own belief is that Al Gore would like to get into the race, and would do it to wreck Hillary’s chances, even if he were unsuccessful in gaining the nomination for himself. Therefore, I think he will consider entering the race by the end of the summer if it appears that Hillary Clinton’s campaign is stumbling.

However, if it appears that Hillary is unstoppable, Gore will probably stay out of the race, knowing he would suffer humiliation a second time, and probably far worse the wear this time around, as he knows the political ruthlessness of the Clintons as few others do.

My own estimate is that Hillary Clinton is unlikely to stumble, meaning that Al Gore is unlikely to enter the race. The other scenario is that the former vice president might jump in if Barack Obama stumbles. However, if that occurs, it makes Hillary even more unassailable, and therefore does not provide Gore with the break he wants before deciding to run.

I have long felt that Barack Obama’s candidacy helps more than hurts Hillaryland. He not only marginalizes Hillary’s other opponents, such as John Edwards, but also discourages Al Gore from getting even with the Clintons, as long as Obama is perceived as a serious challenger. What the Clintons know, but few others yet realize, is that a junior senator with barely two years experience in national politics is the best leading opponent for the Democratic nomination that Bill and Hillary could hope and pray for.
