Hillary Soprano For President?

1 comment June 19th, 2007

As reported on earlier in this blog, Hillary Clinton has sought to garner campaign momentum by running a campaign song contest on her official website, in lieu of discusisng mundane and arcane matters such as the economy, Iraq War and international terrorism. To paraphrase Bill Clinton, “It’s the campaign advertising and PR, stupid.”

Today on the Hillary Clinton presidential “exploratory committee” website, we had Hillary and Bill mimicking the Sopranos finale in a clever video. Typical of the Clintons, it was all show withou even a hint of substance. All an attempt to make the Clinton couple look real cool, so we will all vote them back into the White House.
As it turned out, the Clintons teased their audience on the video, compelling those interested to click another link to discover the world-shattering news that Celine Dion’s “You and I” is the official winner of the Hillary Campaign for President song contest.

What inspiring leadership! No doubt, this all proves that Hillary Clinton is a towering genius, the most skilled example of statecraft management in all of America. The fact that I haven’t yet figured this out just goes to show you that I’m not as wise as all those thoughtful Americans that will now vote for Hillary in droves, due to her Sopranos video act and nifty song contest. What an example of American democracy at work. No doubt, the Iraqi insurgents will now lay down their arms, and beg for a further infusion of this new style of democracy.
