Hillary’s Growing List Of Endorsements

2 comments June 6th, 2007

This blog has pointed out that while the media is obsessed with Obama-mania and his fundraising, Hillary has been quietly accumulating a vast superiority in political endorsements from key Democrats accross the country. This translates into a significant political dominance that Hillary Clinton is constructing, which will pay dividends for her once the primaries begin in earnest.

The most recent endorsement of Hillary rule is freshman Senator Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island. Has a catchy ring to it, “Hillary Clinton endorsed by Whitehouse.” More importantly, it shows that aspiring Democratic political figures are casting their bets with Hillaryland and not Obama. They know something that the media pundits seem to have forgotten; politics is about connections and relationships; the money then follows.

As the endorsements pile up, Hillary Clinton is now sharpening her campaign infrastructure on the ground. Most polls have her well ahead of her rivals nationally, but lagging in Iowa. Hillary Clinton is now working on rectifying that campaign anomally by making recent top-level staff changes within her Iowa organization. I expect in coming weeks that we will begin to see Hillary Clinton gaining in strength in Iowa.

All seems to be going as planned for the coming restoration of the Clinton co-presidency. Stay tuned.
