Hillary Clinton on Libby Commutation-What A Hypocrite!

July 3rd, 2007

Hillary Clinton issued the following statement on President Bush’s commutation of the prison sentence of Scooter Libby, convicted of obstruction of justice in the Valerie Plame CIA leak scandal:

“Today’s decision is yet another example that this Administration simply considers itself above the law. This case arose from the Administration’s politicization of national security intelligence and its efforts to punish those who spoke out against its policies. Four years into the Iraq war, Americans are still living with the consequences of this White House’s efforts to quell dissent. This commutation sends the clear signal that in this Administration, cronyism and ideology trump competence and justice.”

If any other politician condemned Bush’s “reward” of Libby’s silence and loyalty, they would be entirely justified. This clearly is an outrageous act. But there has been one president who was even more outrageous in such matters than George W. Bush. His name, William Jefferson Clinton, wife of presidential campaign front-runner Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Let’s refresh our memories. In the last days of his administration, Bill Clinton granted a number of pardons that were of such dubious merit, they reeked of corruption and skullduggery. One of those pardons involved Marc Rich, who fled the United States to escape prosecution for a host of very serious criminal charges. He even made the FBI’s “most wanted” list. Yet, he received a complete pardon from Bill Clinton. What were the reasons? An example of the “persuasive” factors was that the ex-wife of Rich, who contributed financially to the planned Clinton library, and was a Democratic Party fundraiser, lobbied for the pardon of Marc Rich.

There was also the case of six convicted swindlers from the town of New Square, New York. They were all pardoned and released from prison by President Clinton, after he and Hillary Clinton met privately with supporters of the convicted swindlers. Yet, Hillary Clinton has claimed that she had no advance knowledge of her husband’s plans to pardon the swindlers! You believe her?

Read Hillary Clinton’s statement again. She condemns the Bush administration for “considering itself above the law.” Does Hillary Clinton believe Bill Clinton was not acting “above the law” in his shocking abuse of the power of the president to grant presidential pardons?

For more information on “pardongate,” read my book, “Hillary Clinton Nude: Naked Ambition, Hillary Clinton And America’s Demise.” I have a chapter with more information on “pardongate,” called “A terminally Unethical And Vulgar Couple.”

With Hillary Clinton, the hypocrisy is so thick, you can cut it with an ax. Is this the most qualified person in all the land to be the next president? Think about it very hard.

Hillary Clinton should keep silent on Libby. She and Bill Clinton are the ones who granted the most suspicious pardons.

Talking about a double standard. Hillary Rodham Clinton was probably up to her neck in Bill Clinton’s brazen pardons. For her to attack President Bush just shows that with Hillary, there is no limit.
